Sandra – a middle-aged school cleaner and single mum – struggles to adjust when her only child leaves home and reinvents herself as a superhero to take on the local bullies.

Mumatar was partly funded by a successful Indiegogo campaign. Thank you to all the cast and crew and our list of  Heroes who backed Mumatar and helped get this film made!

We loved returning to Tweetfest with Mumatar in the F-Rated programme – celebrating female filmmakers in front of and behind the camera. 

Mumatar returned to the big screen at Brest Euro 2019 in the France Télévisions programme.

We're thrilled that Mumatar picked up the award for Costume Design at this year's Southampton International Film Festival!

Mumatar flew into the Undiscovered Works September Superheroes event at Dixon Place, NYC. 

Mumatar flew up to Nightpiece Film Festival at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of the Female Leads programme.

Mumatar has flown to the Big Apple twice to screen at the Artists & Beers film series in NYC!

Mumatar screened with some beautiful films in the Mamma We Love You programme at the  Women of the Lens Festival .  

Mumatar played in the Women in Film Programme at the 2018 British Urban Film Festival at the Curzon, Soho. What an honour to be in this prestigious festival!

OFFICIAL SELECTION - International Short

Mumatar took part in the International Short Film Competition at Charlton and Woolwich Free Film Festival. What a great night in a gorgeous venue!


We're very honoured that Mumatar won Best Comedy and Cecilia Noble was awarded Best Comedy Actress at the Rob Knox Film Festival.

We're thrilled that Mumatar made her US premiere in the Unlikey Heroes section in the Tally Shorts Film Festival in Florida.


Mumatar flew across the Channel to screen in the À L’AVENTURE ! programme at the 33rd Brest European Short Film Festival

We're super proud that Mumatar screened at S.O.U.L. Celebrate Connect at the BFI, Southbank. What an amazing afternoon of films!
